Sending limits and safety

Set daily LinkedIn and email limits, random delays between actions, working hours, stop-on-reply and auto-withdrawal of old invites.

On this page

The Sending & safety tab controls how and when a campaign sends. These settings keep your outreach inside LinkedIn's and your mail provider's limits, and inside your working hours, so your accounts stay healthy.

1. Sending accounts#

SettingUsed for
LinkedIn accountsVisits, likes, comments, connection requests, LinkedIn messages, voice notes and InMails
Email accountsEmail steps. Choose SMTP/IMAP mailboxes or Gmail/Outlook.

A new campaign starts with one of your connected accounts already selected for each channel. Check them before you launch.

Each field opens a dropdown of your connected accounts, with a search box when you have more than five. You can pick up to 10 accounts per channel, and each account shows its status and how many prospects it holds. Use Select all or Clear in the dropdown, or the x on an account to remove it.

When you pick several accounts on a channel:

  • The first one is marked Main. Previews and reports use the main account. Click Make main on another account to change it.
  • Each prospect is given one account per channel and keeps it, so the connection request, the messages after it and the email thread all come from the same sender.
  • Daily limits, the gap between actions and the launch spread apply to each account. The line under the field shows the total, for example "3 accounts share this campaign: up to 120 LinkedIn actions a day combined (40 each)."
  • On a running campaign, changes apply to prospects who haven't been contacted yet.

If an account stops working, the people it hasn't contacted yet move to another account in the campaign. People it already contacted wait for it if it only needs reconnecting. If it was removed for good, they start the sequence again from another account. If no account on that channel can send, Prosyo pauses the campaign and tells you. See Paused by Prosyo. Accounts that were removed, for example because a plan or seat ended, no longer show in the dropdown, so you can pick a new one straight away.

No email account yet? Connect one. If your plan has no mailbox, the tab says Email steps aren't on your plan and links to Billing.

2. Daily limits#

Pick a preset, then fine-tune the numbers.

Click Save limits after changing limits, or Discard to undo.

How the limits are counted:

  • Per sending account, per day, in the campaign's timezone. An account used by several campaigns counts everything it sent that day, across all of them.
  • Only campaign steps count. Profiles Prosyo reads for Intent and research, searches, imports and Chrome extension captures don't use up these limits.
  • When an account reaches a limit, its next step waits until the next sending day.
Tip

Start Cautious for the first week on a new account, move to Recommended in week two, and only use High volume when acceptance and reply rates are healthy.

Note

LinkedIn also has its own weekly invitation limit, commonly reported at roughly 100 to 200 a week depending on the account. At 20 requests a day on five sending days, one account sends up to 100 a week. See LinkedIn limits explained.

3. Delay between actions#

Every action waits a random gap inside a range you choose before it goes out. A launch is spread over the day instead of sending to everyone at once.

  • Set a Minimum gap and a Maximum gap, between 5 and 60 minutes.
  • The default is 5 to 15 minutes.
  • The gap applies per sending account, across all campaigns using that account.
  • Prosyo shows the resulting pace, for example "5-15 min between actions — roughly 6 actions an hour per account".

Click Save delay to keep the change, or Discard to undo.

4. When a lead replies#

Turn off remaining steps when they reply is on by default. When a prospect replies on LinkedIn or email:

  • that person's enrollment is marked replied,
  • none of their later steps are sent,
  • the conversation appears in Inbox.

Leave this on. A follow-up after someone has replied looks automated.

5. Cancel an invitation if not accepted#

Turn on Cancel an invitation if not accepted till and set a number of days (1 to 30). It starts at 7 when you turn it on.

If the prospect hasn't accepted by then, Prosyo:

  • withdraws the pending LinkedIn invite,
  • skips later LinkedIn messages for that person,
  • still sends email steps, if they have an email.

Pending invites that pile up can hurt your account. 7 to 14 days is a good setting.

6. Intent and research#

These options decide how the campaign uses research lines like {{research.icebreaker}} and what it may say about Intent activity. They all start off for every campaign you create, Intent-led campaigns and playbooks included. (The campaigns Intent sets up for Send on its Today feed can quote public posts and recognise link clicks.) Switch on only the ones you want.

OptionWhen it's on
Wait for research before sendingIf a person's research is still being written when a step that uses research lines is due, the step waits instead of sending your fallback text. Set how many hours to wait (1 to 72, 24 by default). After that, the fallback is used.
Recognise people who click your linksLinks to your own tracked website get a short code, so a visit after a click shows on that person in Intent. The They clicked a link you sent condition then sees those visits too.
Mention their public postMessages can use {{signal.quote}}, {{signal.need}} and {{signal.url}} to quote what the person asked for in public, like "Saw your post about needing a Shopify developer". Website visits are never mentioned this way.
Allow mentioning what they looked at{{intent.topic}} can name the page topic they looked at, such as pricing. Most people prefer not to be told they were seen.

See Variables and personalization.

7. Working hours#

Choose:

  • Timezone. It starts as the sending timezone you picked when you created the campaign, or UTC for a one-click campaign from the Library in Settings → Templates. Usually your prospects' timezone.
  • Start and end time, for example 09:00 to 17:30. New campaigns start at 09:00 to 18:00.
  • Days of the week, for example Monday to Friday (the default). Keep at least one day on; to stop sending completely, pause the campaign.

Nothing sends outside this window. Actions that are due wait until the window opens.

You can change working hours and the timezone on a running campaign without pausing it. When you save, people waiting to be contacted move into the new hours straight away:

  • People the campaign hasn't started on yet are spread out again from now, as at launch.
  • Everyone else keeps their time, unless it falls outside the new hours. Then it moves to the next opening.
  • Delays between steps are never shortened, and a step is never sent twice.
Tip

Messages that arrive during the prospect's working day get more replies. If your list spans timezones, split it into one campaign per region.

8. Danger zone#

At the bottom of the tab, Delete campaign removes a campaign that isn't running. Deleting can't be undone. To keep the reports, archive the campaign instead.

How a sending day works#

  1. The campaign is Running.
  2. Each enrolled person moves through the sequence in order.
  3. Actions go out inside working hours, under daily limits, with a random gap between them.
  4. LinkedIn messages wait until the person accepts your invite.
  5. Emails send only if the person has an email and an email account is selected.
  6. A reply stops their remaining steps.
  7. Unaccepted invites are withdrawn after the days you set.
  8. If a sending account stops working, its uncontacted people move to another account in the campaign. If none is left on that channel, the campaign pauses and you get a notification.

You don't need to keep Prosyo open.
