Playbook: Founder-led sales on LinkedIn

A weekly system for founders to book 10 customer conversations a month on LinkedIn: profile, two campaigns, message formula and content flywheel.

On this page

A weekly system for founders to book their first (or next) 10 customer conversations a month, in about 30 minutes a day.

Best for: founders, solo consultants, early-stage teams · Plan: Starter or Multichannel · Setup time: about 1 hour, then 30 minutes a day

Why founders win on LinkedIn#

  • Buyers reply to founders more than to SDRs. You carry authority and context.
  • Your profile and posts work as social proof before you even message.
  • Early on, every conversation also teaches you something about your market.

The weekly system#

Day30-minute task
MondayPost one insight from last week's conversations. Import 50 new ICP prospects.
TuesdayAnswer every Inbox reply. Book calls.
WednesdayComment thoughtfully on 5 prospects' posts. Import people who engaged with your Monday post.
ThursdayAnswer replies. Review campaign Reports.
FridayUpdate stages (Interested / Meeting). Write next week's post from the calls you had.

Prosyo runs the outreach. You spend your time on conversations and content.

1. Fix your profile first (15 minutes)#

  • Headline: who you help + the outcome, not your job title. "Helping B2B SaaS founders book 20 demos a month without SDRs" beats "CEO at Acme".
  • Banner: one line on what you do, plus proof.
  • Featured: a case study, a demo video or a free resource.
  • About: the problem, who you help, how, and proof, in that order.

2. Two lists, two campaigns#

B: Warm engagersPeople who liked or commented on your posts (import post engagers)Short and warm, below

Warm engagers sequence#

Connection request

Text
Thanks for engaging with my post on [topic], {{first_name|there}}. Would be great to connect.

Message 1

Text
Appreciate you connecting, {{first_name|there}}. Out of curiosity, what made the post resonate? Is [topic] something you're dealing with at {{company_name|your company}}?

Message 2 (after 4 days)

Text
I'm talking to a handful of {{title|leaders}}s about how they handle [problem]. Not a pitch, I'm genuinely learning. Would you be open to a 15-minute chat? {{calendar_link}}

3. The founder message formula#

  1. Relevant opener. Something about them, not you.
  2. One-line reason you're reaching out.
  3. A question, not a meeting ask, in message 1.
  4. Sign off as a founder, not as a company.

Bad: "Hi, I'm the CEO of Acme, an AI-powered platform that…" Good: "Hi Alex, you mentioned hiring SDRs is slow. I built something for exactly that after running sales at two startups. How are you handling it now?"

4. Settings#

  • Cautious limits for 2 weeks, then Recommended
  • Working hours: your prospects' business hours
  • Stop on reply: on
  • Cancel invitations after 14 days

5. Track what matters#

Each Friday, check:

  • Conversations started (replies), not messages sent
  • Meetings booked (people moved to Meeting)
  • What people said: use SalesGPT and ask "Summarize objections from replies this week"

Turn the best insight into Monday's post. That's the flywheel: conversations → content → engagers → conversations.

Common mistakes#

  • Delegating too early. The first 20 customers teach you what to sell. Keep talking to them yourself.
  • Posting without outreach, or outreach without posting. The two work together.
  • Hiding the founder. "I built this because…" beats a polished company pitch.
  • Tracking sends instead of conversations. Count replies and meetings.

When to hire your first SDR#

Hire when you have: a repeatable sequence with a 10%+ reply rate, clear objection handling, and more positive replies than you can answer. Then add them on an Agency / Team seat and copy your best campaign. See Team seats.
