Cold email writer
You need to write a B2B cold email that gets replies.
You get Three email variants · Subject lines · Why each angle works
Use this before a campaign goes out, or when results are poor. It produces a scorecard, exact line-level fixes and a rewrite, judged from the reader's side of the inbox.
Use it when you want an honest review of outreach copy before sending.

A busy person on a phone, between meetings, who has never heard of you. Note the moment you would stop reading.
Score each 1-5 using references/review-rubric.md:
| Dimension | Question |
|---|---|
| Relevance | Is it clearly about my situation? |
| Clarity | Do I understand what they do and why it matters to me in one read? |
| Proof | Is there a specific, believable reason to trust the claim? |
| Ask | Is the next step easy and low-commitment? |
| Brevity | Is every sentence earning its place? |
| Deliverability | Does anything look like spam or marketing? |
For every issue, quote the exact line, say why it hurts from the reader’s side, and give the replacement. Prioritise: fix the top three issues first; polishing a weak angle is wasted effort.
Return a rewritten version that keeps the sender’s offer and proof. Show the word count before and after.
| Symptom | Most likely cause |
|---|---|
| High bounce | List quality, not copy |
| Low replies, few opt-outs | Weak relevance or targeting |
| Replies mostly negative | Offer or ask mismatch, or wrong persona |
| Positive replies but few meetings | Slow or weak reply handling |
| Spam complaints | Volume, targeting or misleading subject |
Score: <total>/30 | Verdict: send / fix first / rewrite
Top 3 issues: <quoted line - why - fix>
Other notes: <short>
Rewrite (<words before> → <words after>):
<email>
| Dimension | 1 | 3 | 5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Relevance | Could be sent to anyone | Right role, generic situation | Clearly about this person’s situation or trigger |
| Clarity | Jargon, unclear what is offered | Understandable after two reads | Obvious in one read, plain words |
| Proof | None, or "leading companies" | A vague claim or unnamed customer | Named peer or precise number, approved |
| Ask | 30-60 minute meeting with a stranger, multiple asks | Meeting ask with soft framing | One easy, interest-based question |
| Brevity | 200+ words, paragraphs | 100-150 words | Under 90 words, each line earns its place |
| Deliverability | Links, images, spam words, attachments | One link or minor risk | Plain text, no links, no risky words |
Verdict: 25-30 send, 18-24 fix the top issues first, under 18 rewrite.
| Line | Why it hurts | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "I hope this email finds you well." | Wasted first line; signals template | Delete; start with the observation |
| "My name is X and I work at Y." | About you; they can see your name | Delete |
| "We are the leading AI-powered platform…" | Unprovable claim, category jargon | State the outcome for them |
| "I wanted to reach out because…" | Filler | Start with the reason itself |
| "Would you be open to a 30-minute call next week?" | High commitment from a stranger | "Worth a look?" |
| "Let me know if you have any questions." | Passive, no question to answer | One specific question |
| "Just following up on my previous email." | Adds nothing | A new angle or value |
Free, guarantee, risk-free, act now, limited time, click here, 100%, $$$, urgent, winner, "dear friend", all caps words, three or more exclamation marks.

Yes. The skill is a plain SKILL.md file with no vendor lock-in. Agents that load skills natively (Claude Code, Claude.ai, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and others) pick it up automatically; anywhere else, paste the file into the conversation as instructions.
No. Every skill in the library drafts, researches and analyses, and waits for a person to approve anything that sends, schedules or changes records in bulk. Your inbox, CRM and accounts stay under your control.
Yes. It is free and MIT-licensed. Copy it, adapt it to your market and voice, and if you improve it, open a pull request so everyone gets the better version.
Paste this into Claude, Codex or any agent. It interviews you about your play, writes the skill in the house format, checks it and opens the pull request. Once it is merged, it shows up here with your name on it.
