A separate password your provider creates for apps when two-step verification is on. Use it instead of your main password.
Which ports should I use?
Usually 587 for SMTP with STARTTLS, or 465 with SSL, and 993 for IMAP.

Is my mailbox password safe?
Yes. Credentials are stored encrypted. Use an app password where your provider supports one, and you can disconnect at any time.
