| At a glance | |
| --- | --- |
| **Best for** | Teams whose buyers use both LinkedIn and email |
| **Goal** | Higher reply rates |
| **Channels** | LinkedIn + email |
| **Plan** | Any plan with a mailbox, such as Multichannel or Agency / Team. Paid Starter is LinkedIn-only. |
| **Setup time** | About 45 minutes |

Some people live on LinkedIn, and others only read email. A multichannel sequence reaches both, and **Turn off remaining steps when they reply** makes sure nobody gets a leftover message.

## 1. Accounts#

- LinkedIn: [connected and healthy](https://prosyo.com/de/docs/connect-accounts/linkedin/)
- Email: [SMTP/IMAP](https://prosyo.com/de/docs/connect-accounts/smtp-imap/), [Gmail](https://prosyo.com/de/docs/connect-accounts/gmail-google-workspace/) or [Outlook](https://prosyo.com/de/docs/connect-accounts/outlook-microsoft-365/), with SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up

## 2. Data#

Import people with **LinkedIn URLs**, and **emails** where you have them. A CSV from your data provider works well: map both columns. See [Import from CSV](https://prosyo.com/de/docs/prospects/import-csv-excel/).

## 3. Sequence#

Start from the **Multichannel: LinkedIn + email** one-click campaign, then adjust:

| # | Step | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 1 | Visit profile | |
| 2 | Like recent post | Skipped if no recent post |
| 3 | Connection request | No note, or a short one |
| 4 | Delay 48 hours | |
| 5 | If / else: has email → continue if not | Optional (see below) |
| 6 | Email 1 | See copy below |
| 7 | If / else: accepted (wait 72 hours) → continue if not | |
| 8 | LinkedIn message | Only for people who accepted |
| 9 | Delay 96 hours | |
| 10 | Email 2 | Short follow-up in the same thread |

People without an email skip the email steps and still get the LinkedIn steps. The LinkedIn message below mentions the email, so put people without an email in a LinkedIn-only campaign, or set step 5 to **If not met → end sequence for this prospect**.

Important

Turn on **Cancel an invitation if not accepted till** (see Limits below). A LinkedIn message waits until the person accepts your invite. Once Prosyo withdraws the invite, the message is skipped and Email 2 still goes out. With it off, people who never accept wait at step 8 and never get Email 2.

**Email 1**

Subject: `{{company_name|your team}} + outbound`

Text

```
Hi {{first_name|there}},
{{personalized_message|I've been looking at how teams like yours find new accounts.}}
We help {{title|sales leader}}s book 10–30 extra meetings a month from LinkedIn and email, without adding headcount.
Worth a 15-minute look?
{{sender.first_name}}
```

**LinkedIn message**

Text

```
Hi {{first_name|there}}, just sent you a short email as well. No need to reply twice. Is finding new accounts a focus for {{company_name|your team}} this quarter?
```

**Email 2**

Subject: `Re: {{company_name|your team}} + outbound`

Text

```
Hi {{first_name|there}}, bumping this in case it got buried. If the timing's wrong, just say so and I won't follow up again.
```

## 4. Limits#

On **Sending & safety**:

- Preset: **Recommended** for LinkedIn
- **Emails / day:** 25 for a new mailbox, rising to 50 over 2–3 weeks
- **Turn off remaining steps when they reply:** on (the default, and critical for multichannel)
- **Cancel an invitation if not accepted till:** on. Step 7 gives up 72 hours after Email 1, about 5 days after the invite, and Prosyo withdraws the invite then, even if you set more days here. To give people longer to accept, raise step 7's wait (for example 192 hours) and set the matching total here (10 days). Email steps still go out.

## Deliverability checklist#

- SPF, DKIM and DMARC pass
- Mailbox warmed up for 2+ weeks before volume
- Plain text, no images, one link at most
- Under 50 emails per mailbox per day. To send more, add [SMTP/IMAP seats](https://prosyo.com/de/docs/billing/add-ons-and-upgrades/#extra-smtpimap-seat) and pick several mailboxes under **Sending & safety → Email accounts**, rather than pushing one mailbox harder. Each person's emails stay in one thread from one mailbox.

## Why multichannel works#

- Some buyers ignore LinkedIn but read every email, and others the reverse.
- Seeing your name in two places builds familiarity: the LinkedIn visit makes the email feel less cold.
- If an invite isn't accepted, email keeps the conversation alive without extra LinkedIn activity.

## Metrics to watch#

| Metric | Target |
| --- | --- |
| Combined reply rate | 10%+ |
| Share of replies by channel | In **Inbox**, switch the channel filter between **LinkedIn** and **Email** to see where replies come in |
| Email bounce rate | Under 2% |
| Email spam complaints | ~0 |

## Common mistakes#

- **Sending the same text on both channels.** Reference the other channel instead: "sent you a short note by email".
- **Emailing before the mailbox is warmed up.** Warm up for 2+ weeks first.
- **Letting follow-ups run after a reply.** Keep **Turn off remaining steps when they reply** on. Someone who replied on LinkedIn must not get your next email.
- **Too many emails.** Two or three are enough when LinkedIn carries part of the load.

## Variations#

| Variation | Sequence shape |
| --- | --- |
| **Email-first** | Email 1 → visit → invite → if accepted, LinkedIn message → email 2 |
| **LinkedIn-heavy** | Visit → like → invite → 2 LinkedIn messages → email only if not accepted |
| **Event follow-up** | Email with recording → LinkedIn invite referencing the event |

Upgrade

Email steps need a mailbox. Your trial includes one SMTP/IMAP mailbox, but paid Starter is LinkedIn-only, so choose **Multichannel** or **Agency / Team** to keep sending email after your trial. [See plans](https://prosyo.com/de/docs/billing/plans-and-pricing/).
